Adrianne Palicki has landed a major new film role in the G.I. Joe sequel.
Palicki filmed the pilot for a proposed Wonder Woman TV series and appeared in a huge publicity campaign for the project before it was dumped by executives at NBC.
However, Palicki is planning on putting her action woman training to good use as the star of G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes, alongside Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson.
Deadline.com reports Bruce Willis is being considered for a leading role in the sequel.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was released back in 2009 and has Stephen Sommers in the directors chair as well as Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Sienna Miller on the cast list.
Despite poor reviews the movie went on to make over $302 million at the global box office - making back it's $175 million budget.
A sequel has been in the pipeline for some time.
