The Ugly Truth and G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra have done battle at the Aussie box office this weekend and it's the comedy that has come out on top.
The rom-com stars Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler and grossed over $3.3 million in it's opening weekend to secure the top spot.
Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single.
She's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, which is #1 in the States, had to settle for the number two spot grossing $2.8 million.
Last week's number one Public Enemies fell three places to number two while Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince also fell one place from two to three.
Beautiful Kate was the only other entry inside the top ten at number nine while Drag Me To Hell was the biggest faller dropping four places from six to ten.
But there was one climber as stop motion animation movie Coraline moved up for places from ten to six.
