David Fincher's The Social Network has been hailed by America's National Board of Review after sweeping the board with four top awards, including Best Film Of The Year.
The movie's star, Jesse Eisenberg, has been named as Best Actor, while Fincher was honoured as Best Director and scriptwriter Aaron Sorkin claimed Best Adapted Screenplay for the film, which chronicles the invention of Facebook.com.
The organisation announced the awards for the top movie talent of 2010 on Thursday (02Dec10). The board's picks often claim Oscar gold at the Academy Awards.
Meanwhile, Lesley Manville was praised as Best Actress for her performance in British drama Another Year and Christian Bale scored Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal as Dicky Eklund in The Fighter, inspired by the life of boxing legend Mickey Ward, played in the film by Mark Wahlberg.
Best Supporting Actress went to Jacki Weaver for Animal Kingdom.
Other top honorees include Jennifer Lawrence for Breakthrough Performance for Winter's Bone, The Town (Best Ensemble Cast) and Toy Story 3 (Best Animated Feature).
The awards will be presented to the winners at a ceremony in New York on 11 January (11).
