The Inbetweeners

Principal photography for The Inbetweeners Movie will start on 6th February for 6 weeks on location in the UK and mainland Europe. 

Starring Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas, it will be released in UK cinemas on August 19th 2011.

From the team behind the record breaking and award winning TV show comes The Inbetweeners Movie which shows what happens when 4 lads on go on holiday to Malia with no parents, no teachers, no money and little chance with the ladies. 

It is written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, directed by Ben Palmer and produced by Christopher Young.  The film will be the only outing for ‘The Inbetweeners’ for the foreseeable future.

The Inbetweeners, Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas, are joined by the show’s regulars including Emily Head as Carli, Belinda Stewart-Wilson as Will’s Mum and Greg Davies as Mr Gilbert.  The film introduces Lydia Rose Bewley, Laura Haddock, Jessica Knappett and Tamla Kari.

It is written by the award winning duo, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, who created the TV show, they have both worked on the likes of the acclaimed ‘The Flight of the Conchords’ and have extensively collaborated with Jimmy Carr. 

BAFTA nominated Ben Palmer directs.  His credits include ‘The Inbetweeners’, ‘Star Stories’, he has also co-written and directed the majority of Leigh Francis’ projects such as ‘Bo’ Selecta!’, ‘A Bear’s Tail’ and ‘Keith Lemon’s Very Brilliant World Tour’. 

The film is produced by BAFTA nominated Chris Young who has produced the TV series and such films as the award winning Festival, Gregory’s Two Girls and The Final Curtain starring Peter O’Toole.

The film is produced by Bwark Productions and Young Films. It is financed by Channel 4 with Shane Allen as executive producer.

It will be distributed in the UK by Entertainment Film Distributors on August 19th 2011.
