The Fast and Furious has scored another #1 as Vin Diesel and co top the UK box office in its opening weekend.
The fourth movie in the franchise, which sees Vin Diesel and Paul Walker return to their original roles, toppled Monsters vs. Aliens as it went on to gross £4.9 million.
Monster vs. Aliens had to be content with the number two spot grossing a further £2.8 million having been number one for just one week.
Zac Efron’s 17 Again, which sees him move away from the musical, was another new entry at number three. The film pairs Efron with Matthew Perry as a thirty seven year old who finds he is has returned to the age of seventeen for a second chance.
The Boat That Rocked dropped two places from two to four while Nicolas Cage’s Knowing rounded off the top five.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s new Disney movie Race to Witch Mountain could only manage the number six spot while Dragonball Evolution was another new entry at number eight.
