Matthew Vaughn has admitted that he would only add one new character is an X-Men: First Class sequel was to go ahead.
There has been no announcements of a sequel so far but the Marvel movie has been well received by the critics and currently tops the U.S. box office.
There may be no official plans for a second movie but Vaughn is already plotting a sequel.
Speaking to Movie Web he director said: "We will only have one more new character. I won't say who he...
"I won't say who he or she is! But we will only be bringing one more new character in."
"Because, I think, as Professor X is in a wheelchair, Magneto needs to have a nemesis he can fight with.
"Someone that will be his equal. I know who it is. It would be nice if I could say something, but I can't, mate!"
X-Men: First Class toppled The Hangover Part II from the top of the U.S. box office and has
so far taken $120 million at the global box office.
