Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted has stormed to the top of the UK box office as it saw off the challenge for Paranormal Activity 4.
It was 2005 when the franchise hit the big screen for the first time and it is still going strong as it took over £6 million in its opening weekend.
Paranormal Activity 4 may have topped the box office in the States but it had to settle for second as it didn't even come close to challenging the animation movie.
The fourth instalment took £2.5 million and had to battle Taken 2 for the number two spot.
Taken 2 fell two places this week to three while Hotel Transylvania was also down two places at number four.
Former #1 Looper was down one place at film while Frankenweenie, the new film from Tim Burton, was in at number six.
Sinister was the biggest faller this week as it dropped four places from three to seven and The Perks of Being A Wallflower was down three at number eight.
Beasts of the Southern Wild has been whipping up a storm on the festival circuit over the last few weeks and it opened at number nine.
Pixar movie Brave was up one place this week at ten.
