Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted has hung onto the #1 spot for a second week at the U.S. box office.
The animation movie, which sees Ben Stiller and Chris Rock return to voice the central characters took a further $35.5 million to comfortably see off the challenge from Ridley Scott's Prometheus.
There was no move at number two either as Prometheus, which has topped the UK box office, took $20.2 million.
Rock Of Ages was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week at number three as Adam Shankman returned to the director's chair.
The filmmaker brought together an all star cast that includes Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta Jones and Russell Brand for his latest musical.
Snow White and the Huntsman was down just one place this week at number four while Adam Sandler's latest comedy That's My Boy was new at five.
Men In Black III was down two places this week at six while The Avengers and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel were also down two at seven and eight.
Moonrise Kingdom was up one place at nine while What to Expect When You're Expecting was the biggest faller as it dropped three places to ten.
