Jodie Whittaker has admitted that she loved running around with a gun on the set of her new movie Perrier's Bounty.
The actress is back on the big screen this week alongside Cillian Murphy and Jim Broadbent in the Ian Fitzgibbon directed movie.
Speaking to MSN the actress said: "I know I shouldn't be quoted on this, but it was so empowering - I know that is awful because you do actually shoot it and obviously it's blank, but as a woman actress, you never get to b****y do anything like that," she said.
"You're always crying and saying, 'Oh my God, someone help me'. Whereas in this, I was hitting Jim, running and smacking people with sticks, so to shoot it, it really surprised me because I've never done it before. It's quite exciting."
Despite having the gun on set the actress reveals that she underwent no fire-arms training before shooting her scenes.
"No, there's always someone on set who's always very serious."
"There's a real countdown, like, 'Does everyone have their earpieces in?'...and there's always one who doesn't and there's a big panic. It's a really dramatic thing."
