Hulk grabs No1 U.S.
The Incredible Hulk has punched its way to the top spot of the US box office according to early figures. The giant superhero remake took $54.5m (£27.9m) on its opening weekend pushing last week's number one Kung Fu Panda into second. The weekend's other new entry, The Happening - directed by M Night Shyamalan - was in third, while 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan' dropped into fourth place in its second weekend. . Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull fell two places to fifth spot and this seasons smash hit Sex and the City, fell out of the top five in its third weekend into sixth place. The last Incredible Hulk remake - Hulk, directed by Ang Lee - performed better than the new version on its opening weekend in 2003, taking $62m. The new Marvel Studios remake is directed by Louis Leterrier, who made the Transporter films.
