Fast & Furious raced to the top of the Australian box office toppling Zac Efron's 17 Again.
The fourth movie in the Furious franchise has enjoyed major box office success opening at number one in both US and the UK.
Monsters and Aliens, which returned to the top of the UK box office this weeks, held on to the number two spot, while 17 Again fell two places to number three.
Disney's Race to Witch Mountain remained at number four while Richard Curtis' The Boat That Rocked had fallen two places from three to five to round off the top five.
This week's biggest faller was big budget blockbuster Knowing which fell four places from two to six.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop was a climber from nine to ten while adaptation of popular novel Inkheart re-entered the top at ten from last week's number twelve.
