Fast and Furious, the fourth movie in the franchise has stormed to the top of the US box office grossing $72.5 million in it's opening weekend.
The film sees original cast members Vin Diesel and Paul Walker return to their roles of Dom Toretto and Brian O'Connor as they re-ignite their feud in LA.
But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmaneuver him.
And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheel.
Their $72.5 million three day haul at the box office is currently the biggest opener of the year, overtaking Monster and Aliens which had to settle for the number two spot.
Monster vs Aliens, which boasts the voice talent of Reese Witherspoon, grossed a further $22.5 million to tip it over the $100 million mark.
The Haunting in Connecticut fell one place to number three. Knowing and I Love You, Man both also fell one place to four and five respectfully.
Adventureland was a new entry at six while third new entry Sunshine Cleaning, which stars Amy Adams and Emily Blunt rounding off the top ten.
