Amitabh Bachchan is to be honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the Hong Kong Film Festival later this month (22Mar10).
The veteran actor, known as the Godfather of Bollywood, will be celebrated by his colleagues at the festival's fourth Asian Film Awards.
Bachchan's career began with his role in 1969 film Saat Hindustani and he has gone on to establish himself as one of Bollywood's most prominent actors, film producers and television presenters, with hosting stints on the Indian versions of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and reality show Big Brother.
He also served as an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
The Hong Kong Film Festival is set to run from 21 March - 6 April (10).
The actor can currently be seen starring alongside Ben Kingsley in their latest movie Teen Patti.
The actor also has a second project on the horizon in the form of Shoojit Sirkar new project Shoebite.
The movie sees the actor take on the role of John Pereira, who sets out on a journey of self discovery.
