Poor Uma Thurman in the news for all the wrong reasons of late after the disaster that was Motherhood, it only made £88 in it's opening weekend in the UK.
But she is not the first, and she certainly won't be the last, star of the big screen to make a somewhat dodgy movie that only leads to disaster.
However Motherhood is not the only slightly dodgy movie that Thurman has made what about The Avengers, Batman & Robin and My Super Ex-Girlfiend? They were all shockers!
So to celebrate the failure of Motherhood, as well as showing Uma that she is not alone, here are some of the dodgy movie choices made by some of the silver screen's biggest stars.
Mark Wahlberg
When Mark Wahlberg is on top form he is a very fine actor, look at The Departed for example it's a great performance as Sgt. Sean Dignam;which saw him nominated for an Oscar.
But when he makes a slightly iffy decision on a role it tends to go spectacularly wrong having taken on some god awful movies.
If anyone can tell me what actually happened in Max Payne I would be greatly obliged, what a load of old tosh!
The script is badly written and makes zero sense and although Wahlberg's performance isn't bad he just doesn't have anything to get his teeth into and this is a real shame as this could have been the beginning of a dark and gritty franchise.
The movie's characters are so one dimensional that you struggle to just sit and watch them never mind give two hoots about what happens to them and director John Moore seems more content on shooting scantly clad women and slow motion action shots that being half decent characters.
And 2008 really wasn't a good year for the actor as it was also the year we had the misfortune of The Happening gracing the big screen.
In recent years M.Night Shyamalan has really lost his way, why can't you produce movies like The Sixth Sense anymore, producing drivel such as The Happening.
The movie was universally panned upon it's release and only took $163 million at the global box office. While it did recuperate it's $48 million budget the biggest grossing movie of the year did gross over $1 billion.
And it doesn't stop there for Wahlberg as Planet of the Apes, Rock Star and Shooter are all a little bit suspect.
Al Pacino
Now Al Pacino is one of the greatest actors to ever grace the big screen with the likes of The Godfather, Scarface and Heat on his resume, all giant movies of their respected genres.
But just because you have an Oscar decorating your bathroom doesn't mean that you don't fall foul of really rubbish movies.
The actor has had a poor run of things of late with the likes of The merchant of Venice and Two For The Money all disappearing before they had even arrived.
In an bid to bring himself some much needed box office success he reunited with his Heat co-star, despite only sharing one scene with him, Robert De Niro with Righteous Kill.
Sadly magic wasn't created for a second time by these two screen greats as The movie was savaged by the critics.
And the fans didn't exactly flock to the cinema to see the film as it only grossed $76 million, just getting back it's $60 million budget.
And that same year things went from bad to worse for Pacino as he also starred in 88 Minutes, which was also panned. It made just a $2.5 million profit, somehow I don't think that will cover Pacino's fee.
Halle Berry
We all remember Halle Berry rather embarrassingly sobbing her heart out when she won the Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball.
But her decision to take on the role of Catwoman didn't really work out too well for the star, basically because it was rubbish!
The film is a disaster from start to finish with a poor script, bad direction, cheap looking action scenes which sees the whole think descend into farce.
After reading the script you have to wonder what possessed Berry to take on the project that was doomed to fail.
The actress picked up a Razzie for Worst Actress and the movie made a loss.
Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage is one of the busiest actors around it's just a shame that not all the movies that he churns out are top quality.
Sadly this comic book adaptation failed to live up to expectations with a very cheesy plot and some god awful special effects. Cage was possibly the movie's only saving grace!
2009 saw him team up with Alex Proyas for Knowing, in which he took on the role of Professor Jonathan "John" Koestler.
And a movie built around the prediction of a sequence of movie begins as an exciting one as John cracks the code and then tries to prevent the disasters that are yet to happen. Link that with the strange behaviour of his son and the mystery men in black we have ourselves the basis of an intriguing watch.
However this lasts all of an hour before the suspense, drama and cleverness of the movie descends into total farce. And while the movie did provide the element of I didn't see that coming it's so over the top and bonkers that by this point you really have lost interest.
Oh yeah did I mention The Wick Man? Avoid that what ever the cost!
Charlize Theron
Similar to Halle Berry fellow Oscar winner Charlize Theron has made a couple of suspect choices since her win.
And no movie comes more rubbish that Hancock, which saw Theron star alongside Will Smith. Now I appreciate that the movie topped the box office and went on to make over $624 million at the global box office but that doesn't make it a good movie.
It's hard to understand where this film went wrong as director Peter berg assembled a great cast of Smith, Bateman and Theron for this all action comedy but for some reason it just doesn't work partner this with some truly awful CGI and it's difficult to believe that this film topped the box office.
For the opening half hour or so it looks promising an anti comic book movie where it's leading man is an alcoholic superhero living like a hobo and you are more likely to see him watching daytime telly than saving the world.
But then the whole story just implodes as Hancock's past is revealed as well as who Mary really is and you are just left thinking what?
The superhero movie was taken to new heights in the summer of 2008 with the likes of Iron Man and, in particular, Batman and I'm afraid Hancock is lagging way behind that not even Will Smith cannot save this film from dying a painful death.
Yeah and I'm afraid Aeon Flux wasn't much good either.
Other actors who have made rather suspect choices include John Travolta, starring in Old Dogs and from Paris With Love most recently, Sean Connery in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Kevin Costner in Waterworld, Anthony Hopkins for anything linked to Hannibal that wasn't Silence of The Lambs and The Wolfman.
Oh yeah and how can we forget the entire cast of Alexander, Battlefield Earth, The Land of the Lost and Strange Wilderness... what were you thinking?
