After reading the script you have to wonder what possessed Berry to take on the project that was doomed to fail.

The actress picked up a Razzie for Worst Actress and the movie made a loss.

Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage is one of the busiest actors around it's just a shame that not all the movies that he churns out are top quality.

Sadly this comic book adaptation failed to live up to expectations with a very cheesy plot and some god awful special effects. Cage was possibly the movie's only saving grace!

2009 saw him team up with Alex Proyas for Knowing, in which he took on the role of Professor Jonathan "John" Koestler.

And a movie built around the prediction of a sequence of movie begins as an exciting one as John cracks the code and then tries to prevent the disasters that are yet to happen. Link that with the strange behaviour of his son and the mystery men in black we have ourselves the basis of an intriguing watch.

However this lasts all of an hour before the suspense, drama and cleverness of the movie descends into total farce. And while the movie did provide the element of I didn't see that coming it's so over the top and bonkers that by this point you really have lost interest.

Oh yeah did I mention The Wick Man? Avoid that what ever the cost!

Charlize Theron

Similar to Halle Berry fellow Oscar winner Charlize Theron has made a couple of suspect choices since her win.

And no movie comes more rubbish that Hancock, which saw Theron star alongside Will Smith. Now I appreciate that the movie topped the box office and went on to make over $624 million at the global box office but that doesn't make it a good movie.

It's hard to understand where this film went wrong as director Peter berg assembled a great cast of Smith, Bateman and Theron for this all action comedy but for some reason it just doesn't work partner this with some truly awful CGI and it's difficult to believe that this film topped the box office.

For the opening half hour or so it looks promising an anti comic book movie where it's leading man is an alcoholic superhero living like a hobo and you are more likely to see him watching daytime telly than saving the world.

But then the whole story just implodes as Hancock's past is revealed as well as who Mary really is and you are just left thinking what?

The superhero movie was taken to new heights in the summer of 2008 with the likes of Iron Man and, in particular, Batman and I'm afraid Hancock is lagging way behind that not even Will Smith cannot save this film from dying a painful death.

Yeah and I'm afraid Aeon Flux wasn't much good either.

Other actors who have made rather suspect choices include John Travolta, starring in Old Dogs and from Paris With Love most recently, Sean Connery in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Kevin Costner in Waterworld, Anthony Hopkins for anything linked to Hannibal that wasn't Silence of The Lambs and The Wolfman.

Oh yeah and how can we forget the entire cast of Alexander, Battlefield Earth, The Land of the Lost and Strange Wilderness... what were you thinking?
