Jon Bon Jovi May be packing stadiums all around the world as a rock god but he swap music for the big screen this week as he part of the ensemble cast for New Year's Eve.
Yes it seems the Livin' On A Prayer singer finds himself face to face with an ex lover in Garry Marshall's new movie - and she comes in the form of Katherine Heigl.
And needless to say she is less than happy to see him again, there is some great face slapping going on in the trailer.
But this is not the first time that Jon has graced the big screen with a filmography that goes right back to 1990.
In that year has appeared in an uncredited role in YOung Guns II: Blaze of Glory - but he is better known for the soundtrack that he provided to that film than the role itself.
He followed this us with roles in the likes of Moonlight and Valentino, The Leading Man and Little City throughout the nineties.
The turn of the decade brought a role in U-571, which saw him team up with Matthew McConaughey and Bill Paxton.
But his most successful role to date did not come on the big screen but rather on TV as Victor Morrison in Ally McBeal.
He played Ally's plumber boyfriend in what was an extended stint on the show but since then his acting work has been few and far between.
Over the last ten years we have seen him in Cry Wolf, The West Wing and 30 Rock but we have not seen him on the big screen since Nation Lampoon's Plucked in 2006.
But this week he is back as he joins am impressive line-up of Hilary Swank, Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jessica Biel.
New Year’s Eve celebrates love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts, in the intertwining stories of couples and singles, told amidst the pulse and promise of New York City on the most dazzling night of the year.
