Zara has been named the world's biggest fashion retailer, knocking Gap off the top spot.
Zara has seen sales soar as they expanded around the world over the last 12 months while Gap have been hit hard by poor US spending in the last year.
Inditex- the parent company of the Spanish high street retailers-, recorded a 9% increase in sales to â¬2.22bn (£1.7bn) in the first quarter of its financial year.
The chain also benefited from the strength of the euro to edge ahead of Gap which saw its revenues fall by 10% and recorded sales of â¬2.17bn in the same period.
