Andrew Fionda and Ren Pearce were on-hand to talk to Caryn Franklin at the Clothes Show Live at the Designers at Debenhams Q&A at the Style Studio.
There beautiful designs are available for us to buy now with their Debenhams’ collection, which means that we get their attention-to-detail without the huge designer price tag too.
At the talk they spoke about their love for designing and gave advice for those wanting to get into that business – ‘You must have something interesting to say’. They advise that you must bring something new to the table and believe in yourself, your own voice and your own style.
There is no point in bringing something to the table that is already there.
At the end of the talk I grabbed a quick few minutes with Andrew and asked him about classic pieces that we should invest in for our wardrobe. The Pearce Fionda clothing line always promises to bring you clothes that will stand the test of time and will remain in your wardrobe for years to come without ever going out of style.
Andrew explained that it’s important that you spend that little bit more money on good fabric: “There’s no point in spending £20 on a Little Black Dress that will last you the one night.”
He suggested heading to Zara for great classic items that will last.
