Graeme Black beat off Christopher Kane and Johnathan Saunders to be named Designer of the Year at the Scottish Fashion Awards last night.
Scotland's fashion pack headed to the picturesque Stirling Castle for the annual event with guests including Clare Grogan, supermodel Jade Parfitt and television presenter Nick Ede.
"I'm very excited to be here," said Graeme Black to the Herald: "These events are wonderful. As a designer, they make you stop and think about what you are doing. There is so much talent in Scotland and it's a shame because sometimes we just don't blow our own trumpet enough, and we should do this more."
The Young Designer of the Year award went to Holly Fulton, Harris Tweed Hebrides was named Textile Brand of the Year and cult designers Hogg were inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame.
However the star of the night was 15 year old model Christina Chalk who was crowned as Scotland's New Face after beating of hundreds of entries froma ll over the country.
"I haven't done anything like this before and it means the world to me to win," stunning Christina told the Daily Record.
"In life I want to be good at everything I do. The best thing was getting my hair and makeup done and choosing the outfit. The shoes were really cool but really sore!"
