Bella Freud has hailed Christian Louboutin as a "really fun" person.
The 56-year-old designer - who launched her signature knitwear line under her eponymous clothing range in 2007 - has admitted she will contact the 54-year-old creative mastermind when she wants cheering up, and she has revealed the pair will often meet up and dine at London's Scott's.
Speaking to ES Magazine about the mogul - who is known for his red-bottom soled shoes - Bella said: "Christian Louboutin is always a really fun person to go out with. We often have lunch in Scott's and that's just heaven on earth."
And the businesswoman has revealed she also has a "lot of admiration" towards her friend and fellow designer Phoebe Philo.
When asked about her ultimate hero, Bella said: "Phoebe Philo - she's a great friend, I have a lot of admiration for what she does and how she does it."
And Bella has praised Philo for her creations, which she believes is "so full of integrity".
She said: "Her work is so full of integrity and it's fun, and that's a really beguiling combination".
But it is Bella's husband, James Fox, who she has revealed has given her the best advice over the years.
She explained: "My husband James said to me, 'You have to be able to listen to what people say.' If I'm going to come up with a good argument, I have to be able to hear what people have to say and not just barge in with my opinion."
Meanwhile, Bella has revealed she feels "too nervous to eat" when she is on a date, and would much rather sip on a cup of coffee and amble around the Serpentine instead.
Asked about her ideal first date, she said: "When you are feeling extremely self-conscious and excited, sitting side by side is easier than face to face. So I'd go for a walk around the Serpentine and probably end up having a black coffee in the cafe. I'd be far too nervous to eat."
