Fashion icon Dame Vivienne Westwood has won a legal tussle with a designer she accused of copying her work.
A judge at London's Patents County Court ruled that motifs and imagery used in Anthony Edward Knight's line of clothing are too similar to Westwood's trademarks and could confuse shoppers.
Judge Colin Birss declared that Knight "is engaged in trademark infringement and passing off. In some cases he has also infringed the claimant's copyright".
Knight, who runs Too Fast To Live Too Young To Die Clothing Company, was accused of stealing Westwood's Destroy image, which was displayed on a T-shirt worn by Sex Pistols star Johnny Rotten, as well as her Let It Rock slogan, among other designs.
