Alberta Ferretti was “honoured” to have created many of the gowns for Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’.
The 74-year-old fashion designer hailed the 34-year-old superstar as a “multifaceted artist” as she continues the UK leg of her record-breaking run of shows.
She told the online edition of Harper’s Bazaar: "The tour represents a very important moment in Taylor's career because she conceived and built it as a journey through the different moments or, as the title suggests, the musical eras defining her career.
“I'm honoured that she asked me to design dresses for this special occasion.
“I have always been fascinated by women who constantly question and challenge themselves and Taylor, with her work, has demonstrated to be a multifaceted artist, able to constantly transform and evolve."
Taylor has had Alberta design a number of dresses for many of the other eras on her international celebration of her career – which was recently labelled the highest grossing tour of all time – such as the floaty yellow gown she was seen wearing in Paris for the ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ portion of her 45-song setlist.
There is also the fan-favourite green chiffon dress, which boasts leaf detailing and curtain sleeves, which the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer sometimes sports for the same section of the three hour-plus ‘Eras’ shows.
Vivienne Westwood, Roberto Cavalli, and Christian Louboutin are other big names Taylor wears while performing hits including ‘You Belong With Me’, ‘Blank Space’, ‘Love Story’ among many others.
Taylor recently finished a three-night run of shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, one of which saw her Kansas City Chiefs football player boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, making his stage debut during a skit ahead of her singing ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’.
Taylor said on Instagram after the show: “Wembley Stadium round one was so surreal. Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard”.
