Peter Copping has been confirmed as the new artistic director at Nina Ricci.
Rumours have been circulating for some time now that Copping was in the running, but now it's official that the British designer will take over the reins from Oliver Theyskens.
The designer is clearly very happy with his appointment, commenting to WWD: "I think it's a name with a very nice history."
"I love all the French fashionisms, and Nina Ricci is very much a French house. It's going to feel very close to all the things I personally like."
Apparently, Copping wants to focus on tailoring following his appointment, which is something Nina Ricci is well known and respected for.
We think it's a stellar choice and wish him well, but as for Theyskens, who left the label last month, what can we expect from him?
Well, according to some reports and rumours floating about, he may now be recruited for Halston or relaunch his own namesake label.
