Guillaume Henry is set to join Nina Ricci.
The French designer who is currently the creative director of Carven will leave his current position at the end of November in order to take up a role at the world-renowned fashion house.
The 36 year old will replace Peter Copping as head of he Paris-based brand - who stepped down as creative director last week amid rumours he is planning to join New York label Oscar de la Renta.
Nina Ricci's owner Ralph Toldeano told WWD that Guillaume's "artistic vision, intuition, intelligence, charisma and curiosity" would bring to life "great ambitions for the brand."
The highly-acclaimed designer rose to prominence after revolutionising declining fashion house Carven during his five years with the company - which has since become an icon of Parisian style.
Rumours of the move have been circulating for several weeks with the luxury label declining to comment on the move.
Ralph - who is also the president of Puig, Nina Ricci's parent company - previously said: "We don't comment on rumours."
Guillaume will assume the position on January 5 2015 and is expected to show his debut collection for the house at the Nina Ricci autumn/winter show the following month.
