David Koma, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, Mary Katrantzou and Michael van der Ham will be supported by the British Fashion Council and NEWGEN in February's London Fashion Week.

This season's recipients are directional, innovative and show incredible promise and we are excited for them to demonstrate the best of London's emerging design talent to a global audience

The sponsorship scheme which was established in 1993 and it supports emerging British designers giving them the chance to showcase their collections to fashion editors and bloggers alike.

Considered one of the world's most sought after sponsorship schemes and most internationally recognised, previous alumni include Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Giles Deacon and Matthew Williamson.

Holly Fulton, Louise Gray and Michael van der Ham have previously shown as part of Fashion East.

Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council said: “NEWGEN has been propelling young British design talent on an international stage for many years, and we thank Topshop for their ongoing support.

“The strength of the brands that the previous winners have gone on to establish is a testament to the talent here in London and demonstrates the strength identified by NEWGEN season on season.

“This season's recipients are directional, innovative and show incredible promise and we are excited for them to demonstrate the best of London's emerging design talent to a global audience.”

London Fashion Week runs from the 18 February to the 23 February.
