Kelly Clarkson has revealed she thinks her style revamp may have had an impact on her chart success, Digital Spy reports.

The American Idol winner revealed that since the beginning of her career stylists have been trying to dress her in pink and she has finally given in to them.

She said: "Everyone has been trying to put pink on me since I started seven years ago so now I've given in.

"I was always dark before but now I've embraced a new colourful Charlie's Angels kind of superhero vibe - except without the super powers. It seems to be working."
