We’ve already described our love for Rihanna’s red carpet look at the MTV 2014 Movie Awards, now we have five more stylish outfits that stood out.
It was quite the mixed bag in style terms last night in LA and thankfully there weren’t too many disasters hitting the red carpet, here are our favourite five though, in no particular order.
Jessica Alba
Jessica chose a youthful approach in her on-trend crop top and full-skirted look last night.
And the bright hue of the skirt ensured she stood out too.
Her Kenzo yellow-lime skirt is definitely one of the must-have colours this season and the actress shows exactly how we should be wearing it, contrasted against clean white and black and with a glowing tan too.
Jessica was carrying an oversized black clutch, designed by Narciso Rodriguez for the Bottletop Collaboration the ‘Jessica’ leather crochet clutch is crafted entirely from environmentally friendly, aluminium soda-bottle tops.
We expect to see this clutch a couple more times seen as it was named after her.
Leslie Mann
Leslie’s red carpet looks have been about old school glamour for the promo tour of The Other Woman, but last night she chose a more fun and flirty style.
The actress wore a Juan Carlos Obando spotted dress from the Spring 2014 collection.
The orange strappy heels were a welcome addition too, as we can usually expect navy spots to be paired with red accessories.
Fresh make-up and loose curls completed this gorgeous look.
Lupita Nyong’o
Of course Lupita was never going to let us down on the red carpet, and last night she stood out wearing a Chanel Fall 2014 dress.
We must admit that spotting Chanel Fall 2014 dresses on the red carpet is going to be quite a feat as we spent most of our time pouring over pictures of the supermarket setting as opposed to the clothes.
This look is bold and fearless, the direct approach Lupita has taken to the red carpet during Awards season and once again she wears the look perfectly, finishing it with a bright blue hued pump, complementary make-up and Vita Fede jewellery.
Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy on the other hand chose a sweeter frock for the Awards show, wearing a Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2014 Couture cocktail dress.
The dress is fun and flirty with a sweet heart neckline and short hemline, showing off the model’s envious legs.
Deep maroon Christian Louboutin pumps and gorgeous curls completed this pretty look.
Shailene Woodley
Fresh off her stylish Divergent promo tour, Shailene Woodley displayed yet another beautiful red carpet look last night.
The actress went for a tough look in her Balmain Pre-Fall 2014 outfit, made up from a khaki-green cropped leather tee and a matching pleated skirt.
Statement black sandals from Balmain completed the look perfectly and she stuck to the same hair and make-up we saw throughout her promo tour.
But for someone who favours second-hand clothing day-to-day it’s nice to see her make an effort on the red carpet.
The MTV Movie Awards are on Tonight at 9pm on MTV
