Gossip Girl's Jenny Humphrey
How amazing was last nights instalment of Gossip Girl? We had high-drama between Chuck and Blair, trust issues re-emerging between Serena and Dan, and Jenny playing the third wheel to Eric and his boyfriend all crammed into an hour!
I don't think I've been this excited since last week's episode, so without further ado let's begin with our fashion rundown for Gone With The Will.
The episode opened with creepy Jack surveying the Palace hotel, grinning like a maniac and in all honestly dressed like a hit man. Yes, he's still pretty dishy, but that dodgy black coat and leather gloves combo do him no favours as the honest uncle- in fact they make him look like the villain...now there's a thought.
Clearly Blair is on to him and his scheming ways, as the pair have a heated discussion outside the hotel about the reading of Bart's will, which culminates in Jack hitting on Blair in a none so subtle way.
He even threatens to tell Chuck about their New Year's experience, which leaves Queen B a little flustered to say the least, and me feeling a little sick...
To divert to the fashion for a moment, I'm getting the impression that Blair's going through a cape phase at the minute, as tonight was another navy classic with big brass buttons.
She completed her look with navy pencil skirt, frilly blouse and bow necktie, which were eerily similar to last week, although thankfully she updated her style with a black Dior bag and grey tights for this episode.
As the argument reaches fever pitch between J and B, Chuck interrupts their little fight looking a hell of a lot more together than he has done the past few episodes, and thankfully his fashion sense has returned too.
Last night was classic Chuck, as he donned a beige trench coat, which suspiciously looked like it was made for a woman coincidentally, a blue checked shirt, red tie and grey pants. Hurray, our little fashion icon is back!
Unfortunately for our hero he is already under the spell of nasty Jack, and as the trio head in to hear the reading of the will, who should show up but Nate (remember him?!) who has come to offer his support. Right, so where was he last week when C tried to jump of a ledge exactly?!
As the reading of the will commences, Blair and Nate are hilariously left outside of the 'official room' and as you can imagine B's furious to not be a VIP at this event. We learn that Bart has left Chuck the company and a letter to accompany his decision, leaving Chuck confused and Jack spitting feathers. Hehe.
Trying to get some space no doubt, C runs straight into Blair who has been eavesdropping and gets her to read Bart's letter. Chuck steals the show at this point, with some side quips about his father thinking he wears too much purple, while B tries to get him to be serious and consider running the company.
As he runs away from the situation (he does that a lot doesn't he?!) Blair offers him a heartfelt plea to consider his father's wishes, saying how she believes in him, while Jack looks on, clearly furious with the situation, as C finally accepts the responsibility and uproots his meddling uncle.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Dan is moping like a wet lettuce after finding out about his shared sibling with Serena, which funnily enough is making him act a little bit weird around her.
That's no excuse for that plaid jacket though Dan, especially when Serena glams it up in a black military inspired jacket right next to you- what were you thinking?!
Jenny, too seems to be oblivious to Dan's weird behaviour and her dad running off with Lily, although she clearly has other things on her mind, what with her gatecrashing Eric's and Jonathan's lives, while debuting a truly hideous mini-ponytail. I seriously thought she was more fashionable and smarter than this...
Maybe it runs in the family however, as when Rufus calls Dan to update him on the love child situation, Humphrey practically yells about how he hates lying to Serena, only to be overheard by Blair's minions, and a dispatch to Gossip Girl is promptly sent suggesting infidelity on Dan's past. Oh dear.
While the girls are busy digging to uncover Dan's secret, Jack is back plotting against Chuck and uses an unwitting Blair in his scheme. Bringing up his attraction to her once again (eww) he persuades her to throw a party for C, as by way of an apology for his reaction to the will.
Unbelievably B doesn't see through it and agrees, adding that she's seeing Chuck tonight for a special dinner and then hopelessly tries to convince Serena that she and C are just friends now- yeah right! Poor S has her own problems however, as she's confronted by the headband brigade trying to sabotage Lonely Boy's good name. Lol.
While all the action is kicking off in New York, Rufus and Lily are frantically searching for their child in Boston. Well, I say frantically, they are just waiting for a phone call to meet the adoptive parents, while relaxing in casual couture. Honestly, Lily has got so dull with her style since Bart died and she hooked up with Rufus!
Back to the city, and unfortunately we're treated to seeing Vanessa and Dan sharing air time, talking very loudly and for all to hear (Nelly Yuki) about Dan's brother.
The bespectacled one then snatches Dan's phone and runs back to Penelope full of glee about her thieving spree. My, she really has come a long way from the quiet geek in series one, and I do adore her cute cropped jacket and matching specs in this scene.
Now, on its own the phone wouldn't really mean much, but if say, Vanessa sends Dan a blatant message about his long lost bro, after a heart-to-heart chat with Serena, then all will become ridiculously clear to Penelope and her squawking minions.
Yet another reason why I hate Vanessa is that she really is stupid with things like this, and is just darn right unfashionable too. This week she debuted a trampish black coat, colourful crocheted top and some chavvy hooped earrings, which quite honestly wouldn't look out of place on a hooker.
Speaking of hookers, Jack tries to lure Chuck away from his date with Blair by offering him three 'high-class' ladies for the evening, and night of booze, partying and drugs.
So, what does the idiot go an choose? The hookers of course, and then even worse, lies to B about his reason for cancelling, saying he's working late.
The jokes on him really, as Blair had prepared a gorgeous meal for him and was dressed in the shortest, low-cut dress I've ever seen her wear in two seasons. Clearly, she had hoped for a bit of fun with our Chuckles, only to be ditched at the last minute.

As the action moves to the next day and the brunch B had organised for Chuck, we were treated to Serena grilling her BFF about her date, only for B to sheepishly admit he never made it.
I loved both of our leading lady's looks here, as they really are like chalk and cheese with their style, and that makes it fun for us to watch.
S looked stunning in a black sequined mini-dress, while Blair opted for an elegant peach blouse with bow detailing, grey skirt, tights and boots for the occasion, which had eclairs especially reserved for Chuck Bass. You know, as you do.
Speaking of the young Bass, he was nowhere to be seen with Jack claiming he was merely working hard upstairs and maybe Blair and the board of directors should go and pay him a visit. Uh-oh, impending doom up ahead...
As B heads into the office, she's confronted by Chuck entertaining his company with drugs all strewn across the desk. His look is priceless as he realises he's been caught with his trousers down, and Jack laps it up as the board dismiss Chuck's apologies and put J in charge instead.
Chuck takes his anger out on Blair, blaming her for the party and calls her his wife, not realising that Jack has set the whole thing up. When he confronts him however, it finally dawns on him that he's been played, but still not enough to change his clothing, as he's been in that same one outfit for two days now- come on C, pull it together!
While all that drama was going on, Gossip Girl finally revealed Dan's secret, after Blair unintentionally gave Penelope and co. permission to send the blast, leaving Serena devastated and Jenny reeling. Personally, we think she should be more upset about the fact that she clearly didn't look in the mirror before heading out.
Rocking a hideous black polo neck with cream dress thrown over it, Jenny's stupid mini ponytail also just made me want to bang her head against the wall, and ask why Jenny, why!?
S was clearly thinking the same thing as she ditched both unstylish Humphrey's to process the news alone, while her mother gets it on with Rufus once more in a classy hotel in Boston.
Anyone else think this storyline is moving a little bit too slow to have an impact?! As R and L meet the adoptive parents of their child, they're told he died one year ago and was a happy young soul. Yawn!
Back to NYC, and we're treated to a groveling Chuck turning up at Blair's in the same outfit, I'd like to point out, with a bouquet of flowers for his lady love. As he offers some feeble apology for his behaviour, B unreservedly tells him he's let himself down and it's too late for them.
Oh dear, in the second time these two have moved me to tears in the past fortnight, Blair then tells him she's done and throws the flowers back in his face, as it finally dawns on Chuck what he's lost. About time Bass!
We end this week on Serena, Dan, Jenny and Eric all playing happy families in Brooklyn, only for Rufus and Lily to walk in hand in hand, ready to declare themselves as a couple. So, just as Humphrey and Serena decide that love conquers all and they'll be together no matter what, they discover that their parents are now doing the nasty too...yuck.
So where does that leave us for next week? Well, Chuck goes head to head with Jack, enlisting an unlikely ally in his quest for victory, Blair wages war on a teacher and Serena and Dan find dating increasingly difficult, when their parents are sucking face around them constantly.
