90210's Jessica Lowndes on Life and Lip Balm...
The Isklar 'Let's do different' campaign does what it says on the tin. It offers people the chance to experience something new and is a sentiment reinforced by 22-year-old Jessica, best known for her role as Adrianna Tate-Duncan in the hit 90210 series.
The campaign challenges people to break out of their daily routine and try something different or something they have always dreamt about. You can win prizes that offer you the chance to do something new and different on the Isklar UK facebook page.
She tells FemaleFirst: "They (the campaign) offer and give everyone the chance to do something different or something that they have always dreamt about like win trips to Florida, become an astronaut or trips to New York, learn how to bake cupcakes or go to Italy to become an archeologist."
"It's really important for people sometimes to dream big like that and do something out of their comfort zone and something different," adds Jessica.
As part of her role as ambassador, Jessica was challenged to learn a few pointers from professional makeup artists where three lucky winners would get the chance to have a makeover by Jessica herself and put her new skills to the test.
It seems the perfect challenge for the Vancouver born beauty as she has a passion for make up and healthy living.
“I love getting my makeup done and find the whole experience very relaxing when people do mine so I’m looking forward to the challenge. I love how it can make you feel better about yourself, it’s definitely something I love doing”
Singing's a huge passion of mine and I've worked really hard on this album, it's definitely an expression of me, it's a diary of everything I've gone through.
The only worry Jessica admits to having is having a 'flutterer' when applying mascara and eyeliner, for fear of it going everywhere! Although she hopes that her love and skill for painting will see her through.
Being such a big name in the show biz community is there a pressure to always look perfect? "There is definitely a pressure, definitely with what you do...
"I try not to stress myself out like 'I am who I am and this is the way that I look.' There are a lot of things that are out of your control and I don't see the sense in worrying," reflects Jessica.
We asked the lovely Miss Lowndes if there were any style tips she had picked up from the A-listers. She recommended a good moisturiser that works well with your skin (she uses Demalogica) and a once-a-week exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and promote a healthy glow.
Jessica says: "I drink lots of Isklar water because it makes your skin glow, you look healthy and you feel better.
"I think it's also important to find a good lip balm...
"I also love this one thats come out of LA from Sara Happ, she made this exfoliator out of her kitchen that's made out of chocolate and its really good. You can scrub your lips and put on the balm afterwards and leaves them smooth."
As a style icon herself we're interested to know where Jessica draws her inspiration from. From the Hollywood greats the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor to something a little closer to home, her mum - a classic woman who believes less is more and can throw anything on and still look great.
Jessica adds “I love to kind of take the best bits from each of those styles and incorporate them with modern trends."
Talented as well as beautiful, Jessica is famous for her role as Adrianna in 90210 and she has just finished a film Garden of Eden. She has also found the time to record her debut album.

It would appear the next few months are set to be super busy for this down to earth star. She hopes to have her first single out by August, returns to start shooting the fourth series of 90210 in July (yay for us 90210 fans) and has even found the time to inspire people to try something different.
So what’s next for Jessica?
“I’m going on vacation! I haven’t vacationed in such a long time, I’m so exited. I’m heading to Portugal first, then Barcelona and Paris. I’m doing nothing but relaxing and hanging out”
