It’s important for our health, as well as our skin, that we wear an SPF every day, and even more so as we enter into spring.
But don’t worry about adding another step to your morning routine; just ensure your moisturiser has an in-built SPF.
Caroline Frazer, Skincare expert for Simple and celebrity make-up artist, says:
“The sun isn’t making much of an appearance right now but don’t be fooled into thinking you don’t need to wear SPF.
“It’s important that sunscreen is used on both sunny and cloudy days. UV rays can still affect your skin even when it’s dull and overcast.
“Everyone can be at risk of damage from the sun’s UV rays, so it is crucial to wear sunscreen regardless of your skin tone or ethnicity and irrespective of the weather.
“The only time SPFs are not necessary is at night. The easiest way to use an SPF daily is to apply a moisturizer with a built in SPF.”
Like Caroline says don’t worry about an SPF in the night, especially if you’re heading out and plenty of pictures will be taken. Ever looked at your images the next day and wonder why your face looks a lot paler than the rest of your body, the combination of the flash and SPF creates that effect.
But, protect your skin now and shop some of our favourite moisturisers with built in SPFs.
