Lupita Nyong'o was looking as gorgeous as ever on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet this weekend, and to finish her gorgeous Chanel dress she completed the look with make-up inspired the 70's disco era.
The '12 Years a Slave' actress sported an "out there" look to complement her colourful Chanel gown at awards show, but make-up artist Nick Barose was careful not to make it too outlandish.
He told People: "It's pretty out there. We went with something kind of '70s disco-inspired, but wearable, not costume-y.
"When you're wearing a really colourful dress like Lupita's Chanel one, silver is a good option."
Nick achieved Lupita's look with Lancôme Aquatique Waterproof Eyecolour Base, Color Design Infinite 24H eye shadow in 'Unlimited Silver' followed by Color Design eye shadow in 'All That Glitter', as well as black liquid eyeliner and two coats of mascara on her top lashes only.
The look was finished off with a salmon-pink lipstick, L'Absolu Rouge in Saffron Silk.
Explaining the lip colour, he said: "We didn't want to compete with the eye. This colour isn't too bright, but it still pops."
Lupita was thrilled with her final appearance, and loves to have fun with her look.
Nick added: "She loved it. She looks good in every colour. We always go for something fun that we haven't done before."
