For us red was the hair colour of the whole of 2011. Everyone was doing it.
The red hair trend kicked off at the back end of 2010, when Cheryl Cole dyed her hair the vivid shade whilst she was on X Factor. And ever since young ladies and celebrities have all followed suit and grabbed for that flame-coloured hair dye.
In some ways having red hair has always had a stigma attached to it, but it seems that whether natural or dyed redhead, 2011 was the year that everyone embraced the vivid shade.
The fire-colour was seen on the heads of Rihanna, Amy Childs and even saw Blake Lively known for her platinum blonde locks, going for a hint of the bright hue.
Florence Welch is also another star who is known for her vibrant coloured tresses, which complement her pale complexion brilliantly.
Red definitely has been the colour that’s had everyone talking and got everyone changing their hair
What will the hair colour of 2012 be? We predict that the dip dye hair trend will still be hot for the next few months.
