Ever since she was a child Jo Wheatley has loved baking, and as a wife and mother to three boys she’s spent the past 25 years perfecting her extraordinary skills.
In 2011 Jo entered BBC2’s Great British Bake Off and to her amazement (but no-one else’s) she won, delighting the judges with her raw talent, original ideas, and delicious recipes.
In A Passion For Baking Jo presents over 100 of her favourite recipes, from the family bakes she raised her children on, to the afternoon treats for friends, and the mouth-watering savoury tarts and pies baked in her very own Aga.
This is the ultimate collection for every baking buff and covers sweet, savoury, family and celebration recipes.
It includes new twists on British classics like the Victoria Sandwich Cake as well as original creations like the Boozy Essex Frangipane Tart.
Throughout the book Jo’s enthusiasm and love of baking shine through, demonstrating why she was catapulted from keen home grown baker to be crowned winner of the nation’s most watched baking competition.
