This year has seen a flurry of new games announced at E3, so it's hard to get lost through all of the hype for each and every title.
God of War (No release date) [PlayStation 4]
God of War is back, but not as we all know it. Sony officially unveiled the game first during their conference, bringing a much older and stockier Kratos to fans who, in the gameplay trailer we see, is teaching his son how to hunt.
Now taking inspiration from Norse mythology, Bear McCreary will be composing the game's soundtrack, after his work on The Walking Dead and the like.
Right now there's not much more that can be said about the new God of War, but excitement levels are certainly high for this one.
Crash Bandicoot 1-3 Remastered (Release - 2017) [PlayStation 4]
Crash Bandicoot is finally getting the return he so deserves, coming to the PlayStation 4 with his first three games Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped rebuilt from the ground up, thanks to a special agreement between Activision and Sony.
As of yet there are no sneak peak trailers or glimpses of the remasters, but it was announced that all three would be released at some point next year. Big Crash fans won't have to wait that long to see him return however, as he's also going to be featured in the new PS4 version of Skylanders: Imaginators.
Now we just need that pesky Spyro the Dragon to make an appearance...
Prey (Release - 2017) [PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows]
A big reveal came this year in the form of Prey - Arkane Studios' series announced at the Bethesda Showcase, which will bring a unique twist and style to the first-person sci-fi action title.
Reimagining the franchise completely with 'an added psychological twist', players take on the role of Morgan Yu, 'the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race'.
Set in the year 2032, you'll be tasked with uncovering secrets hidden deep within the space station, all whilst being hunted by a mysterious alien force that's taken over. Relying solely on tools you find on the station, along with your wits, weapons and special abilities, your main task is simply to survive.
Spider-Man (No release date) [PlayStation 4]
A big surprise for fans, Spider-Man 4 is looking to be the Spider-Man game that puts those of the past firmly in their place and cement the hero as a major player not only in the movie world, but the gaming world too.
Insomniac Games are behind the revival, with the intense new visuals showing off just some of the action we'll all be expecting when it hits shelves next year.
Insomniac said: "Spider-Man is one of the most iconic and well-known characters in the world, and we're thrilled to be given the responsibility to create a brand new, authentic Spider-Man story."
Let the rumours for fellow heroes and villains cameos begin...
Dishonoured 2 (Release - Nov 11, 2016) [PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows]
Those who couldn't get enough of the first Dishonoured game are being invited by Bethesda to reprise their role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonoured 2, with an all-new gameplay trailer coming one year after the title was first announced.
Acting as the next chapter of the Dishonoured story, the second game will see players make their way through a world where 'mysticism and industry collide'. Playing as either Empress Emily Kaldwin or the Royal Protector, Corvo Attano, it'll be up to the person behind the controller to decide how they want to progress through the game.
Using stealth or an array of weapons and gadgets to make it through, the story will adapt and respond to player choices, leading to exciting outcomes as you play through each hand-crafted mission the game has to offer.
Batman: Arkham VR (Release - October 13) [PlayStation 4]
Fans of the Caped Crusader are finally being invited to wear the cowl in a way like never before, all through the power of virtual reality, and those who have hands-on experience with the demo version of Arkham VR are already giving it some glowing reviews.
Immersing us all into Gotham in the most exciting way yet, DC, Rocksteady and Warner Bros have come together to forge a detective story for the man they call the World's Greatest Detective.
It'll be up to the players to solve the mystery whilst exploring locations including Wayne Manor and the Batcave. There's even a part of the gameplay where you have to put on each part of your Batman outfit, just because. It sounds a lot of fun and could definitely be a gamechanger.
Death Stranding (No release date) [PlayStation 4]
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the E3 conferences came when Hideo Kojima walked out on stage, giving fans their first glimpse at his new game Death Stranding, featuring a butt-naked Norman Reedus.
Though there is little to nothing revealed about the game other than it looks to be hugely story-led and sci-fi, the trailer unveiled does the perfect job in ensuring we'll all be sat waiting in anticipation for future details and an official release.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard (Release - January 24, 2017) [PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows]
The all-new instalment into the Resident Evil series comes with biohazard, where players will go through an experience like never before, dramatically shifting gameplay to a first person view.
Set in modern day rural America, Capcom are promising big things and say a complete refresh of gameplay systems are on the way.
Those who can't wait until the release and are signed up for PlayStation Plus can now download a standalone teaser demo for their consoles, which gives an hour's worth of play building up to the events in biohazard.
We Happy Few (Release - July 26) [Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview]
Touted by many as 'British Bioshock', We Happy Few looks absolutely grim - and absolutely addictive.
Thrust into a world that saw England lose during the Second World War, players will take on the role of a Wellington Wells citizen who refuses to conform to the rules. Deciding one day not to take his happy drug Joy, the player will come to terms with just how grim England has become - and aim to evade the authorities who don't take kindly to anyone off their meds.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole (Release - December 6) [PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows]
Spoofing the many Marvel movies a lot of the world has seen, South Park is again no-holds-barred as it returns for its second modern-day videogame, following on from predecessor The Stick of Truth.
The Fractured But Whole sees Coon & Friends shattered following a disagreement over building their superhero empire. With two warring sides, who can come out on top? Do we really care, so long as it's hilarious and a lot of fun to play through?
