Yesterday (June 13) at E3, Ubisoft teamed with South Park Digital Studios to announce South Park: The Fractured But Whole would be released before the end of the year.
Crime is on the rise in South Park, with the streets never more dangerous than they are now. With the sun setting on the town, havoc and chaos mean that a new reign of terror is unleashed, with the seedy underbelly of South Park coming alive.
Hoping for new heroes to rise, Eric Cartman seizes the opportunity to prove himself, creating the best superhero franchise ever - Coon & Friends.
Leading the pack as The Coon, players will become a member of Coon & Friends, fighting for fame and their place beside the fellow children of South Park.
Players will have to harnass their fart-based powers to fight criminals, with each of the superheroes having their own origin. Those playing will discover and delve into their own unique stories, whilst assembling costumes and mixing powers from numerous classes to create the ultimate, original hero.
The game will be available in three editions, detailed below:
The Standard Edition
- The complete South Park: The Fractured But Whole game
The Gold Edition (Digital only)
- The complete game
- The Season Pass
- A set of in-game costumes and a bonus perk
- 'Towelie: Your Gaming Bud'
The Collector's Edition
- The complete game
- 'Towelie: Your Gaming Bud'
- A set of in-game costumes and a bonus perk
- A set of physical lithographic prints with art from South Park Studios
- A six-inch replica figurine of The Coon by UbiCollectibles and ArtToyz
Wondering what Towelie's doing in the game? He'll be providing unique assitance to players at key locations in the game so that they don't get caught up.
Those who purchase the new game will receive its predecessor, South Park: The Stick of Truth for free.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is officially released on December 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
