Yesterday (May 25th, 2022), Ubisoft released the launch trailer for their new game, along with the title itself, which is a free to play PVP (player versus player) sports game with a focus on teamwork.
Roller Champions came out yesterday, and is another of Ubisoft’s multiplayer games. In the game, players must compete against one another in trio teams in order to obtain five points by making laps around the arena, and throwing the ball through the hoop.
As with Ubisoft’s similar titles where teamwork is key, such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, teammates must work together to both dodge and tackle their opponents.
If your team has the ball, then get a good grip on it to avoid the other team taking it from you; you can control the pace and feel of the game when you have the ball, so don’t let go!
Winning games is paramount if you and your team wish to make it to the top of the leaderboard and be a part of the Elite Champions’ league.
Throughout their journey, players can unlock cosmetics such as items, outfits, goal effects, air poses and much more.
Roller Champions can be played with friends, or on your own against opponents with similar skills with the game’s cross-play matchmaking system.
In between matches, the skatepark allows users to meet up with one another and learn new tricks, and play mini-games together.
As a bonus feature, inviting friends to Roller Champions unlocks rewards for both the person referring and, the person being referred.
Kickoff Season for Roller Champions is now live, and will run from May 25th to June 21st, 2022. The Season introduces three arenas and two unique limited-time game modes.
Additionally, exclusive cosmetic items can be unlocked with the Roller Pass, a reward system split between a free and premium track. This season, Roller Pass purchasers can unlock over 40 rewards by playing matches; players choosing the free track will still be rewarded with 11 items only available until June 21st, 2022.
All items obtained by users in this timeframe will stay in the player’s locker after the end of the season.
Roller Champions is available to play now with cross-play and cross-progression on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 (backward compatibility), as well as Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store.
