Far Cry 6’s upcoming DLC, Joseph: Collapse, is set to drop on multiple platforms in just a few days.
The Far Cry series is a collection of survival games, with the most recent title, Far Cry 6, releasing in October of last year (2021). The game became quite the hit, with YouTubers such as Jacksepticeye praising the game for being outrageously fun.
Far Cry 6 is an open-world, first-person shooter that throws players right in the middle of a modern-day guerrilla revolution.
On Yara island, President Antón Castillo promises to restore his nation to its previous glory, while teaching his son, Diego, to follow in his footsteps.
However, peace in paradise comes at a cost, and creating the perfect country means to silence those who don’t share the same vision as Castillo. Players must rise against this cruelty, and attempt to liberate these hostile lands.
Joseph: Collapse is the third and final major DLC coming to the main game as part of the Season Pass, and is set to be a chaotic, thrilling adventure.
In the forthcoming DLC, players will embody Joseph Seed, the villain from Far Cry 5 (2018), in a dark and troubled version of Hope County, Montana, for an all-new experience that drew inspiration from the roguelite genre.
Roguelite is a sub-genre of RPG (role playing games) in which the levels are usually turn-based, have grid-based movement, and can result in permanent death of the playable character.
Joseph: Collapse will offer players a unique opportunity to tap into Joseph’s fractured mind and go face-to-face against the ones that used to call him their leader. Joseph will struggle to confront his family members as well as battling with his own inner demons.
The upcoming DLC seems to wish to challenge players and see how they can make it while seeing the world through Joseph’s eyes; he is madness personified, and given his actions in Far Cry 5, players can only imagine the path that lies ahead...
Joseph: Collapse will debut on February 8th, 2022, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Stadia, in addition to Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store; players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna.
