Destiny players have now received their mystery gift from Bungie, a little late but for the holidays.
Delivered through the Tower Postmaster and described as "a gift from an unknown benefactor", the item is a random Legendary weapon for each player.
Those who have multiple characters on their account are to receive just a single gift according to those on Reddit.
Earlier this week Bungie admitted that they were "sure some gifts will be swiftly dismantled", meaning players can destroy their gifts for Ascendent materials if they so desire.
A unique pumpkin head consumable item was given out last Halloween to players.
Some users have already been dismantling their weapons and sharing what they got on social media, with not everybody happy with what they've received.
