Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is reportedly "doing good" since he was returned to jail to beging a six year sentence for his minor role in the deadly 1993 blasts in Mumbai. Dutt was jailed on Tuesday (31Jul07) for illegal possession of arms in relation to the serial bombings which claimed 257 lives.The actor's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said Dutt is coping well with prison life adding, "He is doing good, that's all I will say."Jail authorities say Dutt is being treated like his fellow prisoners - eating a basic Indian diet and wearing prison clothes.A spokesman says, "There's no special treatment, his day started today like that of any other inmate." Dutt can appeal against his sentence. The actor has already completed eighteen months of his sentence but must now remain in jail for the other four and a half years. The series of bombings in March 1993 left 257 people dead. In the fourteen years that have passed 100 people have been convicted; a dozen have been sentenced to death, twenty other will face life in prison while fifty more will serve between three and fourteen years in prison.
