The first movie released in 2003
The super-hit franchise is returing titled 'Munna bhai Chale Amrika,' except the Munna bhai we all know and love won't be going anywhere and neither will his pal Circuit.
Apparently, the much loved duo Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi are too old for the film now. A source told the Mumbai Mirror:
"Sanjay and Arshad looked very different in 2006. By the time the third part is ready, it could be another two years. Keeping this in mind, a fresh and young cast is being considered for the two male leads."
Filmmakers Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani disappointed their fans earlier this week after announcing that the original jodi of Munna bhai and Circuit would not be a part of the series anymore.
So who will be replacing the amazing chemistry of Sanjay and Arshad?
Reports claim that there are two idiots up for the role. Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi.
The pair were applauded for their roles in award winning movie '3 Idiots,' and according to reports the filmakers of Munna bhai (who also made '3 Idiots') were struck with the idea when making '3 Idiots' to replace Sanjay and Arshad for Aamir and Sharman.
Aamir is rumoured to play Munna bhai and Sharman the role of Circuit. Could this work? Possibly, as the pair have already wowed fans. But on the other hand it is rather bad taste to change the main characters when you are producing a franchise. People have certain expectations of the movie so Aamir and Sharman will seriously have to pull their socks right up!
