Ronnie Wood has said his stint on a radio show has helped him in his fight against drink and drug addiction.
The Rolling Stone rockstar has had a regular show on Britain's Absolute Classic Rock radio station, and he has said it has helped in his very public battle against his years long addictions.
Speaking at the Sony Radio Academy Awards in London on Monday where he recieved the Music Radio Personality of the Year Prize, he tells Britain's Daily Star, "I'm doing well personally. I'm pretty much clean and serene. The radio show has been great therapy. It is the only thing I've been doing since I've been clean.
"It feels absolutely marvellous (winning the award). I have no idea why people have taken to me. I was a fan of (Bob Dylan's radio show) Dreams Schemes And Themes. He always had a theme and I thought if I could come up halfway as good as Bob it'd be great.
"I knew I could play great sounds. I thought if I was a DJ who played guitar and illustrated that, it would be very educational for the kids and I would enjoy it."
