Other music related news of the year consisted mainly of a little pop star called Justin Bieber who debuted last year, but this year we have witnessed the Bieber fever well and truly taking over.

Lady Gaga blew everyone away at the MTV Music Awards landing a record of 13 nominations and winning an impressive 8. Go Girl.

And although her husband was a lying cheat and she had malaria and her world basically crumbled on the brighter side Chezza’s solo career went from going strength from strength. The nation’s sweetheart has had two consecutive number one albums in the UK: ‘3 words’ and ‘Messy Little Raindrops.’ Along with two number one singles: ‘Fight for This Love’ and ‘Promise This.’ Not bad at all.

When it comes to movies this year has most definitely been the year of 3D. Movies such as ‘Avatar,’ ‘Shrek Forever After,’ ‘How to train your Dragon,’ ‘Toy Story 3,’ ‘Despicable me,’ ‘Megamind,’ ‘Alice in Wonderland’ ‘Step Up,’ even ‘Saw’ which everyone thought after six sequels it's come to an end, but oh no it hit are cinema screens once again in 3D, just in case you didn’t feel sick enough by watching the previous six, a 3D viewing of it should do the job.

In the fashion world it was a sad day on Febuary the 11th when British fashion designer Alexandra MacQueen was found dead after taking his own life. The industry was left reeling after the 40-year-old's suicide which came just days after the death of his beloved mother, Joyce.

Australia’s Next Top Model caused controversy this year when host Sarah Murdoch announced the wrong winner. It was a live television disaster like no other.

Sarah said the winner was Kelsey Martinovich but moments later her face dropped when she listened to the producer’s voice in her earpiece and realised Amanda Ware was in fact the winner.

The disastrous event was soon a worldwide scandal with everyone talking about it.

In other fashion news supermodel Naomi Campbell was awarded a prize by the British Fashion Council in recognition of her influence on the fashion industry over the past 25 years.

In royal news the Queen is getting down with the kids by joining Facebook. Its called the official British Monarchy page and although none of us can actually become ‘friends’ with the Queen we can click the like button and have a nosy at the pics.

And finally there is only one way to end this year’s round up. With what is set to be the biggest event of 2011 our very own Prince William is tying the knot with girlfriend Kate Middelton.

The pair announced their engagement this November in a revealing interview on ITV1. With speculation of a summer wedding upon us everyone is getting all excited.
