Other music related news of the year consisted mainly of a little pop star called Justin Bieber who debuted last year, but this year we have witnessed the Bieber fever well and truly taking over.

And although her husband was a lying cheat and she had malaria and her world basically crumbled on the brighter side Chezza’s solo career went from going strength from strength. The nation’s sweetheart has had two consecutive number one albums in the UK: ‘3 words’ and ‘Messy Little Raindrops.’ Along with two number one singles: ‘Fight for This Love’ and ‘Promise This.’ Not bad at all.

When it comes to movies this year has most definitely been the year of 3D. Movies such as ‘Avatar,’ ‘Shrek Forever After,’ ‘How to train your Dragon,’ ‘Toy Story 3,’ ‘Despicable me,’ ‘Megamind,’ ‘Alice in Wonderland’ ‘Step Up,’ even ‘Saw’ which everyone thought after six sequels it's come to an end, but oh no it hit are cinema screens once again in 3D, just in case you didn’t feel sick enough by watching the previous six, a 3D viewing of it should do the job.

In the fashion world it was a sad day on Febuary the 11th when British fashion designer Alexandra MacQueen was found dead after taking his own life. The industry was left reeling after the 40-year-old's suicide which came just days after the death of his beloved mother, Joyce.

Australia’s Next Top Model caused controversy this year when host Sarah Murdoch announced the wrong winner. It was a live television disaster like no other.

Sarah said the winner was Kelsey Martinovich but moments later her face dropped when she listened to the producer’s voice in her earpiece and realised Amanda Ware was in fact the winner.
