Gary Collins is facing a felony charge in relation to his arrest for allegedly leaving a Mississippi restaurant without paying.
The veteran TV star was detained by cops in Biloxi on Tuesday night (04Jan11) on suspicion of defrauding an innkeeper.
Collins allegedly ordered a meal at Jazzeppi's Restaurant but left before settling his $59.35 (£39.57) bill.
Restaurant workers are said to have followed the actor into the parking lot in an attempt to ask him about the unpaid tab, according to TMZ.com.
Biloxi Police Department Assistant Chief Rodney McGilvary now confirms Collins was charged with the felony crime and has since been released from custody after posting $5,000 (£3,333) bond on Wednesday (05Jan11).
A court date has not yet been set.
The Airport star has had a tough few months - a warrant was issued for his arrest in November (10) after he failed to appear for a probation progress hearing in connection to a 2007 drink driving accident. He was also involved in a hit-and-run incident in Mississippi the same month (Nov10).
The veteran actor has been arrested on three prior occasions for driving under the influence over the last eight years.
