The Intruders DVD

The Intruders DVD

‘The nightmare is real and your fear will awaken them’ is the stark warning from psychological horror Intruders, that blurs the lines of what’s real and what’s imaginary as it comes to Blu-ray and DVD on 21 May 2012, from Universal Pictures (UK).

The British and Spanish joint project created by visionary director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later, Intacto) stars Clive Owen (Children of Men, Inside Man), Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave, Bright Star), Daniel Bruhl (Inglourious Basterds, Bourne Ultimatum) Ella Purnell (Never Let Me Go) and Carice Van Houten (Valkyrie, Repo Men) in this chilling tale of two parallel struggles for survival.

The lives of two families living in different countries are disrupted by a menacing faceless intruder who wants to take possession of their children. Although no one can see him, Hollow Face lurks in corners desperately desiring love but only knowing how to spread fear and hate.

In Spain, a mother (Pilar López De Ayala) tries to protect her son Juan (Izán Corchero) from an invasion in her family and home, whilst in Britain a terrifying being creeps into John Farrow’s (Owen) life after his beloved 13-year-old daughter Mia (Purnell) has petrifying dreams of a demon that becomes a real danger.

As the presence becomes more powerful, the anxiety and tension increase when the parents also witness the apparitions and it seems that despite all desperate attempts, no security measure can keep Hollow Face out.

Hunt shadows and catch Intruders which will appeal to fans of Pans Labyrinth, The Orphanage and The Sixth Sense as it creeps onto Blu-ray and DVD from 21 May 2012. Intruders is also available for legal download via video-on-demand on 21 May 2012.
