To dream about a hunt suggests that you are searching for something with determination.

This could be a new job, a house, a fresh location, a partner or even an item that you have lost. Only you will know whatever it is that you are seeking out so passionately. The dream could be telling you to keep going, even if it feels like a lost cause right now.

On the other hand, if you have been hurting for something for a while now and you still haven't made any progress, maybe it’s time to search in a new place or within a different set of people. You may have exhausted all of your resources in one area of your world and it’s time for pastures new.

Does what you are searching for actually exist? If your expectations are too high, perhaps you should be more realistic and you may just find what you are looking for.

If you saw an animal being hunted for sport, it’s possible you are being unnecessarily cruel towards someone in your waking hours. Why is this? Try to look inwardly for answers as your motivations will be entrenched in things that have happened to you in your past.

If you saw an animal hunting for food, the dream is synonymous with need or necessity. You are doing something in your life because you have to, not necessarily because you want to- it’s about survival. Try not to beat yourself up about it too much as you have little choice here. If circumstances change, you will be able to do things that are more in line with your preferences.

Consider the phrase ‘witch hunt’- are you singling someone out in your waking hours because they are different or have views that don’t align with your own? The dream could be a warning to you to leave them alone. They are perfectly entitled to their beliefs and frankly it’s none of your business.

On the flipside, if someone is doing the very same thing to you- it may be time to speak to them about how it's affecting you or give them a wide berth in future. They will never see things from your point of view or accept that you have your own ways of looking at the world so it’s pointless trying.

Contemplate the phrase ‘that dog won’t hunt’-  meaning something in your life is not doing what it should. A project or tool in your world is doomed to fail and is not functioning as it’s intended to. Can you fix it or is it best to leave it well alone and move on? You may have wasted enough time on it already.

Finally, if you were being headhunted in your dream, you have some knowledge or experience that other people crave. This may not be in a professional sense, but expect someone to come knocking on your door to ask you to share your wisdom with them. When they do, give it willingly- in seeking you out they clearly trust and value your input.
