A periodic table might also represent having all the facts in front of you at once so you can make an informed decision. If there were some elements missing from the table, you may not have all the information yet and are awaiting more.
It may be up to you to find what is missing, in which case the dream might be telling you to find the motivation to seek out what you need.
It’s possible that the way something is arranged in your life at present isn’t serving you well and you need to change the order for it to make more sense.

The dream could simply be related to a table and what one means in your life. If you enjoy entertaining- do you yearn to fill the table in your home with people but are unable to because of circumstances out of your control? If so, it might be wise to make a fuss of the people you can spend your time with rather than pining for those you can’t.
Perhaps someone who used to sit around the table with you is no longer in your life and you are missing their presence. If this person is still alive, do you need to make contact and let them know how much you are missing them? Or if the person has passed, would it help to ease your pain if you were to invite new people to join you around the table?
The table might have no significance but the dream could be referring to a portion of time that has passed. Do you feel you have wasted part of your life on something or someone that/who wasn’t really worth it? If so, it might be time for a change or to move on from this person so your time feels better spent.
There might be a stretch of time that has gone by so fast, you can barely remember moments from it. Maybe you are looking back over this period in your life with fondness or even regret. Either way, what is done is done, so it's important to learn from this part of your history and move on.

If the pasta was in a red sauce- it might be worth looking at increasing the passion in your relationship if you are struggling romantically with your partner at present.
