Kimberley Walsh is an ambassador for the health lottery, and recently saw first-hand just how London's youngsters are getting media training and skills.
visiting a project which was set up in the wake of the London riots, the singer said: "With a bit of luck, some of these young people might find a career that they never dreamt was possible."
'Strait Talk' - the project was set up in response to a sense of alienation among many Tottenham teenagers, and aims to give younger people broadcast media skills resulting in an online talk show where they discuss key issues with figures from the Borough police and other community leaders.
“Thousands of people have been touched by this project, which gives kids a chance. After the riots young people felt their voices weren’t being heard, so that is why we set this up. We are helping them to have a voice and be heard.” explained Andy Fraser, the founder of Youth Skills Network.
