Sofia Vergara has accused Nick Loeb of "taking advantage" of her career.
The 42-year-old actress is furious her dispute with her former fiance over the future of embryos they had frozen when they were together has been made public at the same time she is promoting her new movie 'Hot Pursuit'.
She said: "I don't think its fair.
"I've been working very hard for 20 years to get to this point where I am, enjoying my movie.
"I promote all my movies, all my work, but I don't like promoting my private life...
"I don't want to allow this person to take more advantage of my career and try to promote himself and get press for this."
And the 'Modern Family' star - who has 22-year-old son Manolo from a previous relationship and is now engaged to Joe Manganiello - thinks Nick has created "something ugly out of nothing" with his lawsuit, which was filed in August 2014, because they already had a signed document stating "no unilateral action" could be taken with the embryos unless they both agreed.
She told 'Good Morning America': "It shouldn't be out there for people to give their opinion when there's nothing to talk about.
"There's papers signed. There is a court date.
"He shouldn't be creating something so ugly out of nothing."
Meanwhile, Nick insists he isn't responsible for the leaking of the dispute.
He told 'Today': "Unfortunately, I didn't even come out with the story to begin with. It was leaked to press, there was comments made by her team in the press, and I felt I needed to come out and correct the record."
