Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello "were super love-dovey" in Miami despite being surrounded by her family over the weekend.

The 'Modern Family' actress and the 'True Blood' star, who started dating earlier this month, spent some quality time with her family in Florida over the weekend and appeared to be smitten with one another.

An eyewitness, who spotted the couple dining with 12 of Sofia's family members at Makoto restaurant on Saturday (26.07.14), told E! News: "They were super lovey-dovey and affectionate. Joe had his hand around her and there were times they were holding hands. They were so cute."

The brunette beauty spent much of the meal translating her family's Spanish conversation into English for the heartthrob.

But the insider added: "Everyone seemed so happy to be around him!"

The couple, who first met at the White House Correspondents Dinner two months ago, stayed at the St. Regis Bal Harbour and also dined at the waterfront bistro Sea Salt & Pepper on Friday (25.07.14).

The 42-year-old Colombian star called off her two-year engagement to Nick Loeb in May.

Joe previously admitted that he had a huge crush on Sofia.

Asked who he'd like to date, he said previously: "Girls that do squats - I love a butt. Sofia Vergara, that's it. She's got that Latin thing going. She's got the butt, she's got curves, she's got a beautiful face, beautiful hair, just gorgeous and she's feisty."
