The 43-year-old singer – who has Brooke, 15, Tommy, 11, and Miley, six, with husband Craig – began buying gifts in the summer and even put up the first of her decorations back in September because she’s ready to say goodbye to 2020.
She said: “It’s been a tough year for everyone so I just wanted to start really early.
“I’ve had enough of this s*** show of a year.”
Sam loves Christmas and always gets up early on 25 December to make the most of the day, especially because she doesn’t have to do any of the cooking.
She told new! magazine: “My husband does the cooking and I feed him a bottle of champagne.
“I get up at 5am because I want the day to be as long as possible.”
The former ‘X Factor’ champion is involved in a star-studded cover of ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ to raise money for Action For Children and the Alzheimer’s Society and she was keen to lend her voice to the track because both charities are important to her.
She said: “I love singing and with so much going on in the world, I thought what better way to do it than for charities close to my heart.
“I have three children and my close friend’s mum has dementia and I’ve seen how horrible it is.
“The fact I was going to be riffing out on a Christmas tune with some awesome people like Frank Bruno and Richard Arnold was the icing on the cake.”
